Barbara Lewandowska established an independent architectural and interior design practice in 2002 following a career with KPF where, as an Associate and Senior Designer, she had a primary role in the design of several of the firm’s nationally and internationally prominent building and interior design projects. They include First Hawaiian Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, Tokyo Europort Hotel in Tokyo, and a multi-use commercial and modern office complex at 50 Avenue Montaigne in Paris. Previously, with I.M. Pei and Partners, she was involved with the design of the Kirklin Clinic in Birmingham, Alabama, the Federal Triangle government complex in Washington DC, and an office tower competition at the Yerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco. Her more recent work includes several residential building lobbies in New York City with Costas Kondylis as well as the design of corporate headquarters for Investcorp, Vornado Realty Trust and new facilities for NYSE, all in New York City with SOM.

Ms. Lewandowska teaches Senior Design Studio at Parsons School of Design since 1994 and Pratt Institute since 2004. She served on academic juries at New Jersey Institute of Technology and The City College of New York, and has lectured at Technical University of Gdansk. Her work is published in Casa Brutus (1998), Architecture (1997), Interior Design (1994), and Contract Design (1994). She is a member of AIA New York Chapter. Her architectural registration is with the state of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
